The Heart Behind Let’s Work on That

We are a Melbourne-based therapy practice passionate about helping people reconnect with their authentic Self.

Founded by Samantha Taffe, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and IFS therapist, our practice is grounded in empathy, expertise, and over a decade of experience supporting individuals and professionals across Australia.

Our approach is trauma-informed, non-pathologising, and deeply human. We believe symptoms like eating disorders, suicidality, or overwhelming emotions aren’t “problems to fix”—they are protective strategies that can be understood, respected, and healed with the right support.

Stories of Healing and Hope

Working with Sam has been life-changing. For the first time, I felt truly understood and supported.

Instead of being told what’s wrong with me, I was helped to understand why my feelings and behaviours made sense and how to begin healing.

Meghan C.

IFS therapy helped me in ways I didn’t think were possible. For years I felt like my anxiety and eating struggles controlled everything. Working here, I finally felt seen without judgement. I learned that even the hardest parts of me had a reason, and slowly I found hope again. I feel lighter, more connected, and safer in my own skin.

Claire B.

When I started, I was scared to even talk about my suicidal thoughts. I never felt pushed or shamed. Instead, I was guided with compassion and care. For the first time, I understood those thoughts as parts of me trying to protect me. That understanding changed everything. I now feel more grounded, hopeful, and supported on my journey
