Let’s Work on That -Therapy and Services
At Let’s Work On That, we believe therapy and NDIS positive behaviour support should fit you—not the other way around. Everyone’s journey is different, and the support you receive should reflect your unique needs, preferences, and where you are in your recovery. That’s why we take a flexible approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies to create a process that feels right for you.
Internal Family Systems Therapy
In an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy session, we work together to explore the different parts of you that shape your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The idea behind IFS is that we all have many parts inside us, each with its own unique role, and sometimes these parts can feel at odds with one another or get stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. Our goal is to help you connect with your Self—the core of your being that is wise, compassionate, and whole—and support the healing of the parts that need attention.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
In a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) session, we focus on helping you develop the skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and create a life worth living. DBT is based on the idea that we can change harmful patterns of behavior by learning new ways to respond to difficult situations, and it’s especially effective for individuals dealing with emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, and interpersonal challenges
EMDR
In an EMDR therapy session, we work together to process past traumatic experiences and distressing memories that may still be impacting you today. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps you reprocess trauma by stimulating both sides of the brain (using bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements) to facilitate healing and integration of difficult memories. It’s an effective way to reduce the emotional charge of traumatic events and help you move forward with more peace and clarity.
Schema Therapy
Schema Therapy is an integrative approach that combines elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and experiential techniques. It is particularly effective for individuals who experience long-standing emotional difficulties, chronic patterns of unhelpful behavior, or deeply ingrained negative beliefs about themselves. Schema Therapy helps individuals identify and heal the core emotional needs that drive negative thought patterns and behaviors, leading to lasting change
Couples and Family Therapy
In Couples and Family Therapy, we work together to improve relationships, foster better communication, and strengthen emotional connections. Whether you’re navigating conflicts, enhancing understanding, or rebuilding trust, our sessions are designed to create a safe, open environment where each person feels heard and respected. The goal is to help you better understand each other, resolve issues more effectively, and build a stronger, more supportive bond.
Positive Behavioral Support with NDIS
As a Behavioral Support Practitioner working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), our goal is to support individuals with disabilities by developing tailored positive behavioral support plans that enhance their quality of life, promote independence, and address challenging behaviors. We work in partnership with the individual, their family, and other service providers to create a holistic and client-led approach that meets their unique needs.
Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is a supportive and reflective process that helps you develop your clinical skills, enhance your self-awareness, and navigate the complexities of your practice. Whether you’re a social worker, therapist, or counselor, supervision offers a space for you to reflect on your cases, discuss challenges, and grow professionally and personally. The goal is to enhance your competency, confidence, and ethical decision-making in your clinical practice.
